Notice of Renovation
Quarry Bay Public Library Renovation
To improve library environment and facilities, Quarry Bay Public Library will carry out renovation starting from 1 June 2008 (Sunday). The renovation will last for about 5 months by three phases. During the process, the service arrangements will be as follows:

The Children Library and self-charging machine on 4/F as well as Students' Study Room and Extension Activities Room on 5/F will be temporarily closed

Students' Study Room on 5/F will be converted to a temporary library to provide limited library materials and services, including lending, reservation of library materials, readers' registration, readers' advisory, self-service photocopying, internet, newspapers and periodicals services, etc. A book-drop service will be provided after the library opening hours

Phase III
(from mid-September 2008)

The Adult Library, Students' Study Room and Extension Activities on 5/F will be temporarily closed

Facilities on 4/F will be reopened and limited library materials and services will be provided, including lending, reservation of library materials, readers' registration, readers' advisory, self-service photocopying, internet, self-charging machine, newspapers and periodicals services, etc. A book-drop service will be provided after the library opening hours

The opening hours of the library will remain unchanged during the renovation period:

Readers are encouraged to use the North Point Public Library, Electric Road Public Library, Chai Wan Public Library and Yiu Tung Public Library during the period.
In addition, readers may renew borrowed items by calling the 24-hour hotline at 2698 0002 / 2827 2833 or through the website of the Hong Kong Public Libraries at http://www.hkpl.gov.hk. For enquiries, please contact library staff at 2922 4058.

Ngau Tau Kok Public Library Renovation
Phase III Renovation works will be carried out at 3/F Students' Study Room of Ngau Tau Kok Public Library starting from 23 June 2008 (Monday) and is expected to last for about two months. During the renovation period, Students' Study Room will be temporarily closed. Other library services will remain as usual. Please visit Shui Wo Street Public Library or Ngau Chi Wan Public Library for Students’ Study Room service.

Sha Tin Public Library Renovation Project
To improve library facilities and environment, Sha Tin Public Library has started its renovation project since July 2007. The renovation will last for about 18 months by phases.
