With the financial support of the District Facilities Management Committee of the Central & Western District Council, Smithfield Public Library will open its original closing days (Thursdays) for service on a trial basis from 1pm to 7pm during the period of 4 September 2008 to 26 March 2009.

*Library will be closed on the following public holidays : New Year Day, the First, Second and Third Day of the Chinese New Year, Good Friday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
(Library will be closed at 5:00pm on the following days: New Year's Eve, Chinese New Year's Eve, Mid-Autumn Festival and Christmas Eve.)
