Map Library displays
latest street naming plans
Since
last October, the Map Library on
5/F of the Hong Kong Central Library
has become a designated place for
displaying gazetted street naming
plans for public inspection. Besides
graphic representation, detailed
description of the new streets is
also included on the gazette notices.
Specializing in providing all kinds
of maps and cartographic information,
the Map Library stocks about 11,000
maps and over 3,000 old photos of
Hong Kong. The maps include not
only the most updated versions of
maps of Hong Kong, China and other
countries and cities, but also the
old maps of Hong Kong. The Library
also organizes various seminars
to enhance readers' interest in
the study of Hong Kong places.
