Chan Ho-choi donates over 1,200 CDs to Central Library

Veteran radio programme host Mr Chan Ho Choi has recently donated more than 1,200 classical music CDs to the Hong Kong Central Library. Some of the rare pieces will be included in the Hong Kong Music Collection and kept in the Library's Arts Resource Centre.

In order to preserve and document local music development, the Library launched the Hong Kong Music Collection Campaign in end 2001. Since then, the Campaign has been actively appealing to the public's donation of local pop and classical music scores and manuscripts, autographed posters, audio-visual materials, newspaper clippings, pictures, photos, letters and contracts issued by record companies.
