New Shun Lee Estate Public Library provides better services

Relocated from Lee Foo House of Shun Lee Estate to 3/F of Shun Lee Tsuen Sports Centre, the new Shun Lee Estate Public Library has been upgraded to provide better services in terms of both size and facilities for local residents to enjoy reading and pursue self education.

Occupying a total area of 628 square metre, the new library is four times the size of the old one. Other than the adult lending library, children's library, online public access catalogue and Internet/electronic resources workstations, new facilities include a newspapers and periodicals section, an extension activities room, children's multimedia terminals, self-charging terminals and a book drop. It is also the first library in the urban region to provide express check-in service during opening hours. The new library carries a stock of about 60,000 items including Chinese and English books, encyclopaedias, dictionaries, directories, compact discs and CD-ROMs.
