Pearl River Delta Libraries cooperation enriches cultural life of the region
A foundation for enhancing cultural collaboration and development in the Greater Pearl River Delta (GPRD) region was established in 2003. Since then, connections and collaboration among the libraries of the GPRD region, namely the Sun Yat-sen Library of Guangdong Province, Shenzhen Library, Hong Kong Public Libraries and Macau Central Library, have been increasingly strengthened, resulting in the establishment of the PRD Digital Libraries Network and a series of joint programmes such as competitions and exhibitions.
Coming up in December is an old photo exhibition concurrently held in these four libraries, a project proposed in the ninth meeting on Cultural Cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau. More than 200 old photos around the themes of clothing, food, accommodation and transportation will be on display to show the development and changes of the daily life in the PRD region over the past hundred years. Enquiry: 2921 0285.
