Both the Education Resource Centre (ERC) located at the Kowloon Public Library and the new Stanley Public Library were officially opened in May. They have been popular places for teaching professionals and Stanley residents since commissioning.
The ERC has a collection of more than 20,000 items including books, journals, electronic resources and online databases on education related subjects. Readers can make use of its language learning workstations, Internet workstations and OPAC terminals to conduct language learning or search for multimedia and electronic resources. Stanley Public Library has a library stock of more than 50,000 items. Facilities include an adult lending library, children’s library, newspapers and periodicals section, and extension activities room. A computer and information area as well as multimedia workstations for children and OPAC terminals are also provided in the library. For enquiries, please call 2923 5171.
