The 9th Hong Kong Biennial Awards for Chinese Literature
Results of the Ninth Hong Kong Biennial Awards for Chinese Literature were announced. A total of sixteen titles, written by local authors and published between 2005 and 2006, were awarded the Biennial Awards and recommended prizes.
The competition is divided into five categories: poetry, essay, fiction, literary criticism as well as literature for children and young adults.
A series of seminars had also been held in August and September at the Hong Kong Central Library, in which scholars and famous writers from Hong Kong, the Mainland and overseas shared their ideas on the creation of various literature genres.
