Roving Exhibitions of the Winning Entries of the Hong Kong Biennial Awards for Chinese Literature
Since 1991, Public Libraries has organized the Hong Kong Biennial Awards for Chinese Literature to encourage Hong Kong writers' pursuit of excellence as well as local publishers to publish quality literary books. To further publicize the winning works of the Award, Hong Kong Public Libraries has organized two roving exhibitions as follows:

Exhibition of WUT Man-chung's Works
WUT Man-chung was born in Guilin, Guangxi in 1942. At the age of 5, he moved to Beijing with his parents and began his lifelong music journey there. In 1975, he migrated to Hong Kong and worked as a freelance composer. During the mid-1970s' to the early 1990s', WUT wrote a large number of sensational pieces of music, including the symphonic poem "Ambush on All Sides", the song cycle "Four Poems by LI Bai", "The Pamir Capriccio" for harmonica, the orchestral work "Princess Ch'ang P'ing Fantasy Overture" and the song cycle "Huang Shan, the magnificent mountain", etc. Accordingly, WUT received notable honors in Taiwan as well as in Hong Kong from his works, which were gradually becoming popular and were performed and recorded all over the world. This exhibition will feature WUTˇ¦s precious manuscripts, gold record award, letters, photos and other valuable items.

Competition on Story Writing in Chinese for Students in 2012
The Competiton on Story Writing in Chinese for Students has been organized with the Hong Kong Children's Arts Society since 1995, aiming to promote reading of quality works and to widely encourage continual creative writing. The Competition is divided into 3 categories, including Upper Primary, Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary Category.
