The European Union,now embracing 25 European countries, was established
in 1993 for the goal of European integration. Its depository collection,
started in 1996, contains current publications and other information materials
produced by the Office for the Official Publications of the European Communities,
Commission of the European Communities and the Statistical Office of the
European Communities (Eurostat). There are now 14,300 items in the Collection.
The above depository collection is available for public use in the Hong
Kong Central Reference Library (8/F) during library opening hours. For
