1/ Brief Introduction on "Hong Kong Memory" Exhibition

Description: The "Hong Kong Memory" website is a multimedia website that gives free and open access to digitized materials on the historical and cultural heritage of Hong Kong, including text documents, photographs, posters, sound recordings, motion pictures and videos. The website has been made available for public access since December 2012.
In order to increase the public awareness on this resourceful website, the Hong Kong Public Libraries will arrange a roving exhibition in 2025 to introduce its origin, content structure and to visualize the characteristics of the "Hong Kong Memory" website.

1/ Dr Sun Yat-sen and Family Roving Exhibition

Description: This exhibition is to promote Dr Sun Yat-sen's relationship with his family and their influence on Dr. Sun Yat-sen's revolutionary cause.

1/ Roving Exhibition on Winning Entries (Hong Kong) of "4.23 World Book Day Creative Competition" in 2025 - "Reading—My Travel Buddy" - Senior Secondary Category (Chinese & English)

Description: In support of the World Book Day on 23 April, the Hong Kong Public Libraries (HKPL) organises the “4‧23 World Book Day Creative Competition in 2025” on the theme of “Reading—My Travel Buddy” to promote a reading culture. Through competition, which integrates reading and creation, we hope to encourage children and young people to expand and deepen their scope of reading to open the door to knowledge, broaden their horizons and enrich their lives.

1/ ‘Mystery of Chinese Writing’ Roving Exhibition

Description: The development of Chinese characters has a long and rich history, beginning with the pottery inscriptions in the late Neolithic period, progressing to the oracle bone scripts and bronze inscriptions in the Shang and Zhou dynasties, and evolving through small seal scripts after the unification by Qin to clerical scripts during the Qin and Han periods. By the Tang dynasty, Chinese writing system had fully matured and the art of calligraphy scaled new heights. As of today, Chinese characters continue to embody the wisdom of the past and demonstrates the charm of Chinese culture. The exhibition will use simple writings, images of artefacts and vivid illustrations to showcase the development and cultural connotations of Chinese characters.
