Description: In support of the World Book Day on 23 April, the Hong Kong Public Libraries (HKPL) organises the “4‧23 World Book Day Creative Competition in 2026” on the theme of “Blissful Moments Between Pages” to promote a reading culture. Through competition, which integrates reading and creation, we hope to encourage children and young people to expand and deepen their scope of reading to open the door to knowledge, broaden their horizons and enrich their lives.

Description: The exhibition aims to foster a better understanding among the public of the fascinating scientific secrets and cultural stories behind Hong Kong local delicacies.

1/ Echoes of the Imperial Stable – Tang Dynasty Steed Collage Workshop

Date: 2026/7/25 (Saturday)
Time: 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Venue: Ping Shan Tin Shui Wai Public Library (Extension Activities Room)
Description: “The Six Steeds of Zhaoling” is a set of famous stone relief sculptures, depicting the six warhorses ridden by Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin, during his military campaigns. The workshop uses one of the horses from the sculptures as the basis. The instructor will teach participants how to create collage art using thick fabric, cardboard, and shiny handmade paper to highlight the dynamic movement of the royal warhorses.
